Features of the Institute

The Graduate Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies is characterized by six attractive elements including a practical curriculum, teaching staff with business expertise and rich business experiences and a social network of people from different backgrounds
Submission of Complete Business Plan
The mission of the Institute is to promote education for business creation by developing “individual entrepreneurs for starting up new businesses” and “corporate entrepreneurs for starting up new businesses including internal corporate ventures”.
In order to achieve this goal, in addition to basic and applied subjects, Practicum for Business Planning has been adopted as a part of the course in which students are required to complete and submit plans for feasible business ventures until the end of the course.
Characteristics of Teaching Faculty
The Institute aims to develop specialists for business creation by providing opportunities to research the basic theories of business creation and management, gain an advanced understanding of theories and do applied research, and do research on basic challenges in main business creation areas and create excellent business plans. To this end, the teaching staff is assigned to two different areas.Basic subjects are assigned to researchers, while business practice related subjects to business practitioners.
Working and Studying at the Same Time
The Institute offers class meetings in weekday evenings and on Saturdays to ensure that students working daytime can attend classes.
Guest professors with front-line prefomance in business
Guest professors are selected from people who appreciate the mission of the Institute, which is to develop specialists for business creation, and are active in the business front line.
In addition to regular classes, their special lectures will give students opportunities to learn about perspectives and ideas on business management they would have never considered before and at the same time to exchange ideas and create human networks.
Promoting cross-industrial association and sharing information and experiences
The majority of students enrolled in this program are working in various industries and in different professions.Students are given opportunities to not only acquire knowledge but also share information and experiences with students from various backgrounds on and outside the campus.
Through vigorously promoting cross-industrial association among them, they will build new human networks.
In addition, international students are also enrolled in this program, which allows Japanese students to form a global network of human connections.
Tie-up with Babson College
The Institute is under advisory agreement with Babson College in Massachusetts, USA and receives suggestions and guidances for school management including curriculum, subject syllabus and teaching materials.
Babson College ranks top in entrepreneurship in the world as well as in the U.S., as evaluated in Business Week, the Financial Times, and U.S. News & World Report.
